This article is about gun control measures in Mogadishu, Somalia.
The smallest weapon that Islamists said should be surrendered to them is the Russian BKM machinegun. They said weapons smaller than BKM like AK47 and pistols are still allowed to remain in the hands of the civilian population.

Guns are the best guarantee for a truly free society!
After considering the issue a little bit closer, one might of course suspect that the UIC has to collect heavy arms before they can force people to give up their smaller guns.
We will see, but the more I read about Somalia, the more I get the impression that the situation in Somalia is characterized by a great amount of liberty and that the rumours about extremism are exagerated. (correctly spelled?)
There also report indicating that the economy is doing fine.
