I found the article above interesting. It seems to indicate that the UIC is strong, but also that the population is not yet disarmed.
There was another article that said that businessmen were handing over their technicals but keeping their small arms "for the time being," and there were some widely publicized pictures of 3 young women at a pro-UIC rally holding AK's.
